The Seychelles Medical and Dental Council (SMDC) is participating in the 25th Annual Conference of the Association of Medical Councils of Africa (#AMCOA25), held under the theme "Regulator 2.0: The Balanced Approach." This annnual event brings together regulatory authorities across Africa to explore innovative, collaborative, and responsive approaches to health profession regulation in a changing healthcare landscape.
The conference theme, "Regulator 2.0," calls on councils to adopt a balanced approach - one that balances empathy and practitioner well being with compliance to professional regulations.
Representing the SMDC at this event are Dr. Sasikumar Subramanian and Dr. Susan Fock Tave. Joining them are Mr. Morison Julie and Mrs. Marie-Antoine Bethew from the Health Professionals Council, reflecting Seychelles’ commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration in health regulation.
