My name is Dr. Luis Campanella, and I was born in Valencia, Venezuela, on March 10, 1987. I graduated as a General Practitioner in 2012 from the Universidad Nacional Experimental Rómulo Gallegos in Venezuela.
In 2016, I moved to Seychelles, where I have been working in the community healthcare field, providing medical care and support to patients in need. Over the years, I have expanded my knowledge by completing various short courses in diabetes management, diabetic foot care, vascular ultrasound, pain management, and palliative care, among others. These additional qualifications have allowed me to improve my approach to patient care, ensuring that I can offer well-rounded and specialized treatment.
My passion for medicine goes beyond daily practice, I believe in continuous learning and adapting to new advancements in healthcare. Working in Seychelles has given me invaluable experience in community medicine, allowing me to work closely with patients and understand their unique healthcare needs.

I am a Senior Medical Officer with the Ministry of Health and have six years of experience in community health, focusing on non-communicable diseases (NCDs). As the Coordinator of SEY-PEN, I oversee the implementation of primary healthcare services for hypertension and diabetes, working to enhance the quality and effectiveness of care delivery.
My experience in healthcare program coordination has enabled me to develop a practical and solutions-oriented approach to service delivery. My adaptability and ability to foster collaboration within multidisciplinary teams empower me to navigate complex challenges effectively. With a commitment to patient-centered care, I aim to contribute meaningfully to the improvement of healthcare services and outcomes.

Dr. Sanjeev Pugazhendhi

Biography:
- Hold a medical degree (completed in India and Malaysia, 2011) and Masters in Global Health and Management (completed in Scotland, 2017).
- Working with the MOH from 2011 onwards. Mostly in intensive care unit for my early career – provided important insights into complex illnesses that face the population, shortfalls in practice, and the cost of care (human, monetary and otherwise).
- Transitioned gradually from ICU to policy and statistics section from 2018 through to 2020.
- Primarily worked with the COVID-19 public health emergency operations committee from 2020–2022, as well as a number of other roles.
- Moved back to policy work as from mid-2022; leading the team as from late 2023.

- Chairperson of the Procurement Committee
- Member of SEY-PEN committee, digital health committee and IDSR committee
