SMDC Participates in Conference on Access to Information and Media Freedom

Savoy Resort and Spa. Beau Vallon - SMDC participates in a half-day conference organised by the Information Commission in collaboration with UNESCO and the Centre for Law and Democracy.

SMDC information officer, Mrs Nathacia Barra, joined information officers from government ministries and affiliated bodies in a half-day workshop regarding their responsibilities under the Access to Information Act.

Information officers are nominated by the heads of their respective institutions to fulfil their institutions' obligations under the Access to Information Act, 2018.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr Victoria Lemieux, Senior Public Sector Specialist from the World Bank.
